Rox is a silversmith and Cuban entrepreneur making waves with her handcrafted silver jewelry brand Rox 950. Vargas makes iconic designs that she shapes into earrings, necklaces, and bracelets forged from 95% pure silver at her home in Havana. She studied civil engineering at university and is a self-taught silversmith, an art that came into her life after meeting a teacher from the San Alejandro Arts Academy in Havana. The launch of her website in 2018 allowed American consumers to purchase her handmade jewelry, making her collection the first Cuban-made designer product to be purchased in the U.S. in more than 60 years.
