Sinecio Cuétara Menecia

Sinecio Cuétara Menecia was born in Pinar del Rio but today resides in Havana. He graduated from the Provincial School of Art and is a licensed educator of art from the Superior Institute of At in Havana. As a painter, he works in both acrylic and oil and favors landscapes and the abstract. He has been greatly influenced and nourished by Cuba’s rich artistic tradition starting with the School the 19th century, the Cuban avant-garde of the 20th century and finally the multilayered universe of Cuba’s contemporary art. His paintings are exhibited in many countries, such as the United, Canada, Spain, Portugal and Chile.
