Nelo is a master of creating movement in his paintings. Born and raised in Pinar del Rio, he still resides in the town's center in a three-story home that he is steadfastly renovating to include a studio, gallery, and workshop. His work uses lots of color, intensity, composition, design, and positive energy to give his paintings the illusion that his subjects are in motion. During the summer, he runs an outreach program for children and offers workshops that make painting more accessible to youth.
